2016 – Year of Seva /
At the Xmas Funday 2015, East London Temple launched 2016 – Year of Seva, and is dedicating the year of its 29th anniversary to all things Seva. So let’s get everyone involved!
What does this mean? We hear you all ask, and how could I possibly help?
The concept of Seva is selfless service. Not only is this a form of devotion towards the Lord and aids spiritual progress, acts of Seva contribute to the improvement of the community around you. Seva can be large or small, consistent or random, familiar or get you thrown totally in the deep end. It’s up to you.
There are a number of dedicated volunteers who help the Mandir stay up and running, but this year we want even more people to get involved, find and enhance their skill sets and help make a positive difference. We know our community has many talents and experiences, so whether you’d like to get creative, get technical, get your hands dirty or get planning, there’s bound to be a project, task, activity or brand new role to take up.
If you have any questions or queries or would like to volunteer and take part in any sort of Seva, please get in touch at [email protected]!
Further updates and events will be posted throughout the year.
