Thursday 2nd April 2020 marks the birth of Lord Shree Ram and Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
For the first time ever, we will not be celebrating at the Mandir, but it’s in times like these, where we truly find our gratitude, courage and faith. So in the lead up to one of the biggest days of year, let’s take some time out to pray for those who have been greatly affected by this pandemic.
We are setting the EL community a target of 1008 Janmangal Namavali/Stotram to be completed by the evening aarti on Thursday.
Please provide your name and Janmangal count ONLY to 07555153786 so that we can keep track. The amount taken by individuals and/or family will count so everyone can take part.
All programmes on the day will be live streamed on our YouTube channel (link below). The daily katha will take place on the conference call as usual.

NB: 10:10pm is the actual birth time and coincidentally/auspiciously 2nd April is also the actual birth date!
Jay Shree Swaminarayan,
Further to our Mandir shut down due to COVID-19, we have setup a live Katha Recital for all to listen on YouTube. The link is below:

194 years ago, Shree Hari sat down in the Hari Mandap in Vadtal and wrote the Shikshapatri for the benefit of all living souls. Containing the essence of all the shastras including the Vedas, this small yet powerful scripture is the key to unlocking the power that resides within us.
Come join us on Thursday 30 January from 7:30pm onwards to partake in the pujan and recital of the Shikshapatri.
Please note there will be no Thursday Jam this week.
It gives us great pleasure to announce a special and unique seminar/discussion taking place for all ages on Saturday 11th January 2020 from 7:15pm for 7:30pm start, in collaboration with HSS-UK, SSW and SKSST.
The session is meant to give a great comparisons of Hinduism hosted by a scholar of Islam & Arabic studies. The speaker may be an outsider but is very well known to the collaborating organisations. Nothing controversial or political is portrayed.
If you are already intrigued, then come and have a listen. It’s an interactive session explaining from the speaker’s point of view why Hinduism is not only a “religion” but a way of life!
Prashad nasto will be provided thereafter from 8:30pm.
Hope to see you all there at SSW, with family and friends!
