194 years ago, Shree Hari sat down in the Hari Mandap in Vadtal and wrote the Shikshapatri for the benefit of all living souls. Containing the essence of all the shastras including the Vedas, this small yet powerful scripture is the key to unlocking the power that resides within us.
Come join us on Thursday 30 January from 7:30pm onwards to partake in the pujan and recital of the Shikshapatri.
Please note there will be no Thursday Jam this week.
It gives us great pleasure to announce a special and unique seminar/discussion taking place for all ages on Saturday 11th January 2020 from 7:15pm for 7:30pm start, in collaboration with HSS-UK, SSW and SKSST.
The session is meant to give a great comparisons of Hinduism hosted by a scholar of Islam & Arabic studies. The speaker may be an outsider but is very well known to the collaborating organisations. Nothing controversial or political is portrayed.
If you are already intrigued, then come and have a listen. It’s an interactive session explaining from the speaker’s point of view why Hinduism is not only a “religion” but a way of life!
Prashad nasto will be provided thereafter from 8:30pm.

To mark the end of this auspicious month of Dhanurmaas – Saak Utsav has been organised by our Mandir on Sunday 12th January.
Swaminarayan Bhagwan first did Saak Utsav in Loya in the presence of many haribhaktos and santos, cooking over a 1000kg of aubergines, adding a variety of masala to make the most delicious saak!
8.30 to 9.30am – Dhanurmaas Dhun
6.30pm onwards – Live Saak Utsav in presence of Bhuj Dham santo
Come along with friends and family members! There will be prashad served thereafter in the dining hall for all.
Christmas is only a few weeks away and so is our annual Funday! The day kickstarts at 10.30am and finishes at 5pm. Join us for a fun-filled day of games, activities and prizes for the whole family to enjoy.
The under 13s are to arrive in their very best Christmas jumper to be in the chance of winning the title of Best Christmas Jumper 2019!
Lunch will be served around midday.
Raffle tickets will be on sale throughout the day for our chosen charity Aangan – created and run by our Gadiwalashree and a group of ladies, the charity ensures that the most vulnerable children are safe, have shelter, food and an education.
History: On Shri Raja’s birthday, the whole family went to give out freebies to kids and on the way back a toddler held Gadiwalashree’s saree no chedo and would not let go. That touched her heart and at that point she decided to do something for them. Years went by and finally Kalupur mandir bought land behind the mandir for this purpose to make an Ashram for girls.
Gadiwalashree welomes donations for the ashram but her main pride is for people to visit Aangan and see what facilities they have and what’s missing.

Starting from 11AM to 1PM – A unique presentation pinpointing areas of the Vachnamrut with interactive games & activities for all ages! Whilst the adults enjoy, the kids will also have a separate workshop to get involved in.
At 1PM there will be some small nasto served for all.
The evening session from 5:30PM will involve Yuvak Mandal doing the daily Nitya Niyams including chesta and a magnificent explanation of a Vachnamrut in English and Gujarati.

During the interactive session we will find out more on Mental Health and how we should be more aware of ourselves and those around us. There will be real life stories & experiences being shared – spread the word and join in the discussions in this open forum.
